Beaulieu International Group announces appointment of new CEO Pol Deturck

Following the announcement of a generational change in our Board of Directors earlier this year, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce today the appointment of Pol Deturck as CEO of Beaulieu International Group.

Pol Deturck brings experienced leadership and people management to the helm of B.I.G. From 2015 to 2020, Pol was CEO of the Fibrant Group, a chemicals business. Prior to Fibrant, he held increasing leadership roles over nine years at Tessenderlo Group, first as Business Group Director Chemicals and later as Executive Vice-President Chemicals & Organic Specialties.

He also brings leadership experience from senior management positions at Vandemoortele and Univeg. With the appointment of Pol Deturck, B.I.G. opts for a strategic filling of the top position. In 2020, B.I.G. signed a sustainable growth policy with a continued focus on customers, innovation and further expansion.

Despite the difficult Covid conditions, 2020 turned out to be an excellent year for B.I.G. With the support of its Board of Directors and the extensive experience of the new CEO, B.I.G. is ready to deliver on its ambitious growth plans. The transition period, led by Stephan Colle as director and shareholder of B.I.G., will start at the end of March.

Ludo Ruysen remains active in the Management Committee of B.I.G. where Pol Deturck will take over the leadership. B.I.G. wishes to express its gratitude to Stephan Colle for his commitment and loyalty; Stephan will continue to support Beaulieu International Group as a director and shareholder.
