On Wednesday, January 21, Beaulieu International Group had the honor of welcoming a distinguished delegation from the U.S. state of Georgia to our Experience Center. The visit underscored the enduring partnerships between Georgia and Belgium, and highlighted the strategic importance of the United States – particularly Georgia – as a key market in B.I.G.’s global footprint.
Governor Brian Kemp and his wife, together with the Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD), the Deputy Commissioner for Global Commerce, and several policy advisors, were warmly received by members of the Executive Committee, Caroline De Clerck, and Francis De Clerck.
The program included an introduction to B.I.G.’s history and strategic ambitions, a guided tour of the Experience Center, and a short visit to our cushion vinyl production plant in Wielsbeke. The visit offered valuable insights into our innovative process, manufacturing expertise, and commitment to delivering high-quality flooring solutions worldwide.
A strategic market for B.I.G.
With four production plants and more than 570 employees, the United States represents a crucial pillar of Beaulieu’s global operations. Georgia, home to our American Beauflor plant, is also the U.S. state hosting the highest number of Belgian companies, reflecting a strong and long-standing economic relationship.
By fostering these connections, B.I.G. continues to reinforce its position as a transatlantic partner, bridging industry, innovation, and investment between both regions.
The power of personal relationships
Beyond the formal program, the visit highlighted the importance of in-person collaboration in strengthening international partnerships. Personal relationships remain essential in building trust and laying the foundation for future opportunities. Exchanges like these not only showcase B.I.G.’s capabilities but also open the door to long-term cooperation and economic growth.
As we continue to expand our global presence, B.I.G. is proud to contribute to meaningful international ties and to represent Belgian industry on the world stage.
