Route 4: We take responsibility for our climate impact

We are fundamentally transforming the way we design, manufacture and
distribute our solutions to take full responsibility for the impact we have on
the climate and the fight against global warming.

In addition to the efforts listed in routes 1 and 3, we are focusing on
renewable energy, low-carbon manufacturing, ecodesign and sustainable
mobility.

Climate change related goals

Bringing greenhouse gas emissions from our own operations to 0 (Scope 1&2)

Switching to 100% renewable energy

Bringing the balance of greenhouse gas emissions from the value chain (Scope 3) to 0, by reducing by at least 42% vs 2021 and compensating for residual emissions that cannot be abated

In December 2015, the Paris Agreement was signed, endorsing targets to limit global warming and guide countries on their path towards a sustainable future. From the agreement also flowed the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), which provides companies with a framework for setting emissions reduction targets.

We committed to Science Based Target initiatives and our targets have been validated by SBTi as in line with a 1.5°C trajectory.

Where do we stand?

  • 15% of energy renewable (up 8% from 2021)

Scope 1&2 GHG emissions 165 kt of CO2e (+/- 5%) (down 20% from 2021)

  • Scope 3 GHG emissions 2,2 Mt of CO2e (+/- 10%) (down 13% from 2021) (new acquisitions have not been cincluded in the baseline, when comparing within same boundaries down 16% vs 2021”)
